as only the Chicago acting community can present.

St. Sebastian Players is proud to be holding its 16th annual Monologue Matchup fund raiser the evening of Mon. Oct. 27th The event is held in the lower level of St. Bonaventure Church 1625 W. Diversey (Ashland and Diversey). This is a chance for actors to present a 2 minute monologue before a panel of prestigious judges from area theaters such as Goodman, Raven, Child’s Play Touring Co. and many more. Our panel of judges chooses winners and prizes are awarded. Time is provided to mingle with other actors. If you wish to be in the audience only… just show up that night. Competition begins at 7PM and costs $12 for audience. If you wish to compete, please read below …
-Prepare 2 monologues each 2 minutes long . Any genre is acceptable. You will perform one for sure and the second one if you are a finalist. You will be asked to tell the name of your piece and the author. Then timing begins.
-Bring 15 headshots with resumes attached.
-Bring lots of friends to cheer you on as we have a “Peoples’ Choice” winner.
-Be at the theater between 6:00PM and 6:20PM so that we can begin the competition promptly at 7PM. You will compete in the order in which you arrive.
-Make a $15 check out to Saint Sebastian Players.
