Barry Cunnane,
who died a victim of gun violence
May 24, 2003.
Barry first appeared with Saint Sebastian Players as Trelawney Hope in Studies
in Sherlock.

He impressed everyone with
his talent, enthusiasm, and unfailing cheerfulness

and was immediately invited to join the ensemble.
He immersed himself in the
life of the company, as well as in that of St. Bonaventure parish.
He also appeared as Antonio and a courtier in Twelfth Night,
postponing a trip back to his native Ireland to accommodate rehearsals.
He finally made that trip in early May 2003 and was killed soon after his return. He was 27 years old.
Those of us who came to know
Barry through his work here will always treasure the time we had with him. We
hope that those who saw him perform here will also hold his memory in their
hearts.
The Saint Sebastian Players has named one of our annual Sebastian Awards in
Barry's name to recognize his exemplary commitment to our company and honor his
memory.
